At a Glance

BennyZA was founded by Gideon and Benjamin Barkay as an importer and distributor of niche products with strong after-sales support for non-represented brands in South Africa. These were often new and high-end technology that was inaccessible for South Africans due to prohibitive costs, barriers to importing, and lack of support locally. BennyZA initially operated as a sole proprietorship that then converted to a private company in 2023 with Benjamin taking over as managing director.

What began as a journey into microscopy and lab equipment with AmScope in 2017 has evolved into a comprehensive portfolio of advanced imaging modalities. BennyZA continues to provide strong after-sales support and accessible technology to the local scientific community
